The Double-Stack Micro-9 Hype Part 3: Invented Problems With No Endgame

The Double-Stack Micro-9 Hype Part 3: Invented Problems With No Endgame

The entire double-stack micro-9 concept was never about solving a real problem — it was about inventing one so they could sell you the fix. Lighter = more recoil. Upgrades make it print worse. Tariffs and rising costs force cheaper metallurgy. Even the premium HK CC9 (optics-ready, light rail, backstraps, everything the market begged for) is still light, still snappy, and still not worth it. People will never be satisfied because “more” is never enough. Meanwhile, a $200 APX A1 Carry or $300 PPS shoots better, lasts longer, and actually gets carried. The hype is dead.

SHOOTING TO LIVE: THE PRACTICAL TRAINING PROGRAM OF WW2

In WW2, W.E.Fairbairn taught close quarters pistol fighting to the special units of the Allies and recorded his teaching method in the book ‘Shooting to Live’. He spent years training police how to survive a gunfight by being faster, using their instincts, and training under fighting conditions as often as possible.

The Double-Stack Micro-9 Hype Part 2: Not-So-Universal Concept

The marketing says double-stack micro-9s are perfect for everyone. Women say otherwise. Smaller hands, less strength, and that punishing snap turn “snappy” into painful — thumb blisters, slide bite, and guns they hate training with. The CSX? Even lighter recoil spring, harder kick, and slide bite for me too. Women love the crisp trigger at first… until the recoil bites back. That’s why so many grab the Beretta APX A1 Carry, Walther PPS, or just go bigger. They want shootability, not hype.

MODERN CHRISTIANITY IS A PERFORMANCE ART

When I began my journey and practice of the Christian faith, my pastor sat with me and answered questions for what seemed like hours. Finally, he issued me a challenge. He wanted me to seek my answers in the bible. He challenged me to read the bible and understand the story of Christ and his teachings. This challenge only opened my eyes to the hypocritical ways we worship and how upside down our faith is to this day. We praise Jesus in song repetitively and call it "WORSHIP", but never find a word in the bible that promotes this idle behavior. Churches of today have become little more than money-harvesters using spiritual entertainment to encourage cheerful giving. There is a real war raging inside every one of us against the evil one and the sin that tries to rule our lives. Yet the modern church has completely lost this battleground. It has turned into nothing but a performance art show full of singing and manipulative tricks to squeeze money out of people.

BOOK REVIEW: THE COMMANDO POCKET MANUAL

From 1940-1945, units like the OSS and British SOE were using lessons of the early years of WW2 to design training curriculums to prepare for battle against a powerful enemy. The secrets of how these operatives were trained were held secret for decades, with only a slight peak into their clandestine and hardcore training methods. As these training and tradecraft secrets have come to light, we have gained a deeper understanding of how World War II operations were won. You will find that it was the opinion of many that a war is not won on the battlefield, but in the training of it’s forces. Take a look inside how Britain’s Greatest Generation trained to win WW2.
